About This Blog

(NOTE: This is just an intro page.  To read my adventures look to your right- under the ‘Recent Posts’ header- and click on a story.  That’s where the adventurous stories are.)

.

If you’re reading this blog it’s because you’re either a friend; a relative; someone who stalks me on facebook; or just some unlucky web surfer.  Either way this blog is my way of giving an insight, a portal, into my life here in Turkey.

As most of you know I am now stationed at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey (aka the city of Adana) on a 15 month tour.

Here, you will read My most deepest darkest actions during my stay in turkey.  It’ll be like me going number 2 with the door open.

Some of the things you read may not exactly be “proper” or “Safe for work” but it’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Now, first let me introduce you to the country of Turkey.

Turkey

Turkey, meet the people. The people, meet Turkey.

Incirlik Air Base is identified by the red star.

Turkey borders Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Georgia (No, not the U.S. State), and Armenia.  It also borders the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea.

On a global scale this is where Turkey is:

You can see that Turkey is that red blob...unless you're color blind in which case...you're shit out of luck.

Many people think that Turkey is a third-world country with shabby structures and a low income.  Well, that’s actually true but Turkey is a beautiful country with an amazing past and rich culture.  Ruins, castles, beautiful mountains, lakes and wonderful villages and towns.

The Turkish are beautiful people.
